Guest house accommodation is rather popular with young people all other the worls. This is an accommodation in a large apartment with a host or a housekeeper living in the flat. Most rooms are multi-bedded though single accommodation is also possible). Bathroom (one or two depending on the flat size) and kitchen are shared. Students will be responsible for their own meals. The bed linen is provided.

Derzhavin Institute has 2 guest housrs at its disposal.

One is located in the city center not far from Nevskij prospect (Mojka emb.40). There are 2 rooms – 1 single room and 1 double room, a shared shower and wc and kitchen with all the equipment and a hall. There is also a concierge who is living in the guest house. Distance to school – 30-40 minute walk

Another is practically next to the Institute (in a 5 minute walk) There are 3 rooms in this guest house – 1 single, 1 double, 1 4-bedded room, a shared kitchen with all the equipment, a shared shower and wc.

Situated in the very heart of the city (with only 5 minute walk to the Hermitage and the Nevsky Prispect) Nevsky Hostel offers inexpensive jet very comfortable accommodation in the 4 or 8 bedded room. There are 4 showers and fully equipped kitchen for self catering. Towels, night shoes and bed linen are free in use as well as WiFi internet. The hostel can accept up to 50 people (2 4 bedded rooms and 5 8 bedded rooms).

CUBAHOSTEL **

With a new location and fully renovated dormitories, the Cuba Hostel is now even more ideal for budget travel. Located a mere minute from Kazan Cathedral, visitors will find themselves smack in the middle of all the bars, restaurants and shops they could hope for. The nine dormitories can sleep up to forty people, there’s a ‘pink’ room for girls only and a communal kitchen area. Enter to the right of the old fashioned red British phone box.

ST. PETERSBURG INTERNATIONAL HOSTEL **

Russia’s first international hostel is in a 19th-century building in an old industrial area not far from Moskovsky station. It’s basic, but cheap and has doubles and single-sex dorms for between three and five people. There is no curfew, but you will have to let the staff know ahead of time if you plan to come back after 01:00.
