Programme of the course “Russian as a foreign language for students specializing in international law” written by the Derzhavin Institute in cooperation with the Northwest (Saint-Petersburg) Branch of Russian Law Academy of Ministry of Justice of Russian Federation.
This programme is aimed at foreign students specializing in international law. This area is characterized by the constant communication and experience exchange with international partners and the communicational skills (in the present case in Russian) feature the professional competence.
The beneficial cooperation of Derzhavin Institute (Russian Language school) the Russian Law Academy of Ministry of Justice of Russian Federation resulted in a programme that is really unique, perfectly matches the needs of students specializing in the international law and enables students to spend their time in Russia maximum efficiently.
The programme consists of two components:
Apart from lectures and seminars the Law Academy invites specialists in Russian Law for talks and round-table discussions, organizes visits to the legal institutions e.g. notarial offices, college of advocates/the Bar, Department of Federal Migration Service etc.
Russian language course comprises 2 aspects:
The former concentrates on the use of the language in a wide range of everyday situations. The latter deals with the specialized law vocabulary and grammar and some aspects of the judicial system of Russia that contributes to a great extend to the better understanding of the lectures given at the Law Academy.
The full lenght of this programme is 12 weeks (240 academic hours).
Tuition cost 2220 euro.
It is possible also to get academic credits for this programme.
This programme was successfully realized in 2007/2008 with University Insubria (Italy)
